- William was Baptised on 2 March 1836 at Narellan. The Ceremony was performed by his uncle William Macquarie Cowper. The Reference Number of the Baptism Certificate issued by the NSW Registry of Births, Deaths & Marriages is; (Baptism No. 1015, Vol. 20 of 1836)
William Harington Cowper's Birth Certificate, shows two "R's" in the word Har(r)ington. The family intended the spelling to be with one "r", however, it was not until the birth of Dudley Harington Cowper that the spelling finally appeared in the Official Records with the correct spelling.
Details of William's burial are given under his father, Sir Charles Cowper.
The Death Certificate issued by the Public Record Office, London, states William died of "Congestion of the Brain caused by a cold, resulting in effusion in the Brain and Spinal Cord". The Reference Number of the Certificate is (No. 10, issue DX 261318).
William's Death occurred in the House of Reverend, T. A. Cock.
